Oil Sketch

Broke out the oils again! It's been a few years since I last attempted them (resulted in one half-complete half-hearted painting) and a few years before that when I did a bunch of dali-inspired sketches (thank you, high school hormones).

Planning on working with these a bunch in the upcoming year to prepare myself for the Illustration Master Class in June. I can't wait!

This one is a sketch of my dad, which I did in a couple of hours while he was sitting on the couch watching Scott Pilgrim. (He kept grinning, which made it a bit difficult!)

    Wow. Strong, powerful, and confident style. I like that! And, yes, I do see him in your painting. Great beginning on a new journey. I'm really looking forward to more.
