Hegemony Rome: The Rise of Caesar
Yay!
So I can finally release my first image for the game I've been working on the last year, Hegemony Rome: The Rise of Caesar!
Hopefully over the next few months I'll be able to show everyone a lot more art from it, so keep an eye out here.

So, if you saw my post made exactly a month ago, you might recognise this follow up! This painting was done as a demo painting here at the Longbow Games booth in Toronto for FanExpo, for our game Hegemony: Gold. You can check it out on the new site here : http://www.longbowgames.com/hegemony/ (there is a free demo and everything :) )
This painting is based around a confrontation between a Spartan and an Athenian.
While I painted this we also recorded the whole process, which has been sped up into a nice little video that you can find here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbChjyPvAX4 I even have a commentary track where I ramble about how I paint. :) Hope you enjoy!

"Hegemony: Gold" Gen Con Painting Demo
The Longbow Team (myself included) took a long drive to go join Gen Con last weekend down in Indianapolis, Indiana. While we were there, I did a painting demo for our game Hegemony: Gold (which you can buy over on our site). The theme for the painting demo was the Sacred Band of Thebes, which are probably my favourite group of ancient greek dudes. You can read more about them here: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Sacred_Band_of_Thebes
So here's the painting as well as a time-lapse video of the painting process.
Have lots of work to show you guys, but you'll still have to wait a while I'm afraid. :) Enjoy this for now!

"Hegemony: Gold" Icons
Been working at Longbow Games for a month and a half now, and I can finally show you some work, as it will be released with an upcoming patch for Hegemony: Gold!
I've also created a thread specifically for my Hegemony work over at the Longbow Games Forums, which has a little bit more description of each image and who they are, what they are used for, etc. So go there for more info. :]
In the meantime, drawings!

Following up on my Penguin Tentacle Monster design, I did this little guy in my Earthenware class. For size reference, he is a little larger than my palm.

Landscape Study 001
In an effort to improve my environments/backgrounds, I've decided to do some landscape studies! Since Toronto doesn't really offer sweeping vistas, I picked up a couple of books filled with landscape photographs to do some studies from.
Here's the first one! It's based on an image from the book "The Frozen World" by Patrick Hook. (The book also has pictures of penguins. :D )

The Lady of Shalott
There was a challenge over at CGhub to do a person underwater. The Challenge was over, but I liked the theme so I did one anyway. She's based off the Lady of Shalott. Enjoy!
